How to Prepare for an Aesthetic Machine Delivery
Plan the delivery route, room requirements and receiving checklist before the equipment arrives.

The delivery can run into trouble before the equipment reaches its room. A carton that fits through the main door may still be too large for a lift, a landing or a tight corner.
Measure the route with the carton in mind
Ask for packed dimensions, packed weight and handling instructions. Measure the narrowest points from the unloading area to the destination, including lift doors and turns. Confirm where the delivery team's responsibility ends and who will move the unit from there.
Prepare the destination room
Request the manufacturer's site requirements for the exact model. Share the electrical details with the person responsible for the premises, and check the available space against the specified clearances. Agree in advance who will handle any setup or commissioning included in the order.
Give the receiving team a checklist
Keep the purchase reference and agreed packing list handy. Ask the recipient to check the carton count and record visible damage or missing packages on the delivery paperwork where possible. Follow the supplier's written instructions for reporting discrepancies and keep the packaging until the handover checks are complete.
Walk through a sample delivery route
Imagine the packed carton fits through the building entrance, but the lift opens into a short corridor with a right-angle turn. Measure the lift opening and internal depth, then check how much room the trolley needs to make that turn. Give the measurements to the supplier or delivery team and ask them to confirm the route against their handling instructions.
If the route is too tight, ask about an agreed handover point, a different entrance or another suitable arrangement before dispatch. Confirm whether the building requires a delivery booking or has limits on unloading times. Share any revised plan with the person receiving the delivery.
Confirm responsibilities before dispatch
- Ask who will unload the carton and whether delivery includes movement beyond the entrance.
- Confirm the delivery address, floor, receiving contact and agreed time window.
- Check who will provide handling equipment and who will clear the route.
- Agree who will handle unboxing and setup, and where any unresolved delivery issue should be reported.
If delivery and setup happen on different days, write down both appointments and tell the receiving team where the equipment should be kept in the meantime. That gives everyone the same plan even if the person who placed the order is away.
When requesting delivery information from IBS Traders, include the model, destination and any access constraints such as stairs or a restricted unloading area.
